Can I hook my guitar directly to computer using USB port?

I have a cord with a 1/4 connector to the guitar and a USB connector on the other end. Can I hook it directly from guitar to computer with this cord…and if so, what program do I need. If not, what else do I need to connect to computer.

No. you need a program such as guitar rig or Kontrol
