having problems re-imaging your computer please help?

im having problems re-imaging my laptop i can do it on any other computer but my laptop the reson being is because i cant find my local disk on it. i find it completly strange that i cant find it i need help what can i do. i need to re-image it urgently becaue i got to school and its do work when its slow and got too much rubbish on it. i think i might have viruses so im really not sure to be honest CAN YOU HELP?

What is the brand of the Laptop?
some companies do not support others images only theirs
if you have a copy of windows try to boot with it and see if it can see the Hard Drive
