computer vacuum kit
computer overheats…here are pictures?

I heard Intel and Athlon pc’s overheat
I have an Intel Duo
with a frontal…side…and back fan
the computer always overheats and sounds like a vacuum

weighs like 50+ pounds ‘o’

mostly the back where the power box is and the left side heats up

any suggestions as to what I could do to stop overheating?

I use the pc for homework…games…video production…and music
it doesn’t last 1 hour when I’m online
PC turns off when I’m 30 minutes into a game
and anything else its up to 20 minutes
shuts off and says “thermal overheating” when I turn pc on

today, the computer melted 60% of my Kit Kat bar into liquid

check through my photostream…more pix of my pc and how it’s located
i just left the kit kat on the mini table near the pc
I have an RPM screen on my Hard Disk Drive and it USED to tell me the temperature of the computer

but it stopped working once when the computer overheated.

That’s odd, if you haven’t overclocked your system, it shouldn’t be over heating. Has anyone tampered with your computer? Remove the case cover and see the fans when the computer is on (don’t touch anything inside). Make sure they’re all spinning. This also includes the fan on top of the CPU. I’m guessing there are 4 to 6 fans to check in total. You said you have 2 case fans. There should be a fan for your power supply unit. One for your CPU. Possibly a smaller fan somewhere else on your motherboard for the north bridge, and another fan on your video card if you have one. If you’re not particularly good at dealing with a computer this is as far as I can lead you really.

If you know how to mess with it, I would see if your motherboard has a temperature monitoring program you can use to see what’s overheating. Then maybe I would check BIOS settings to see if all the cooling features are turned up. As a last resort, I would start replacing fans or components if I could tell what the problem was. The problem could be simple or complex. Maybe the thermal paste between the CPU and heat sink wasn’t applied properly and isn’t transferring heat to the sink well.
